Liz Gloyn
Dr. Liz Gloyn is a Reader in Latin Language & Literature, in the Department of Classics at Royal Holloway, University of London. She also co-directs the Centre for the Reception of Greece and Rome and is a member of the Gender Institute. Her research focuses on the intersections between Latin literature, ancient philosophy and gender studies. She also has a strong specialism in classical reception. She is training for ordination in the Church of England, which is another story for another time. Since the pandemic, she has developed a strong appreciation for the escapist qualities of historical romantic fiction.
